Right in the Baroque heart of Osijek you find our charming small guest house in a renovated building more than 100 years old, offering high-level comfort and an original atmosphere. Osijek's city centre, called "Tvrđa" (Fortress), combines the look of a military fortress and all the features of a modern city centre. This is where our property is located, thus providing a perfect place for a stopover or a business or sightseeing stay. The guest house is named after the first known owner of this historic building, whose was called Maksimilian Riegl and worked as a city accountant in Osijek. In our lobby you can use internet for free, borrow a book, use the conference hall or simply enjoy socializing in a comfortable ambience.

We offer you 4 comfortable single, double, twin and triple rooms as well as a 1-family apartment including an anteroom, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.

Food & beverage

A breakfast buffet is served in the dining room at the time agreed with the guest.

We are situated in the old Baroque centre of Osijek, 20 meters from the picturesque Square of The Holy Trinity, and just as far from the main University building, the city hall, the Franciscan Monastery, and in the close vicinity of many nice restaurants, pubs and night clubs.

Travel information

From the main railway and bus station (3 km, 5 - 15 minutes, depending on the means of transportation) :

The taxi rank is positioned right across the street from the railway and the bus station

The tram stop is about 20 metres from the entrance to the railway and the bus station:
- Line 2 to „Sakuntala park“ stop
- Change to line 1 direction east, to the „Tvrdja“ stop.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged EUR 10 per night per person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 12 per night per person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: 10 % VAT is included.
Service charge is not applicable.
City/tourist tax is included.

Internet: Wired internet is available in public areas and is free of charge.
