Hotel Imperial is an exclusive property where the emperors Franz Joseph I and Wilhelm II already resided, housing a popular coffee shop with a terrace and an aperitif bar. At the restaurant, vegetarian meals are available on request. A national inclusive dinner is served on Fridays from June until September. The air conditioned Golden Hall with 320 seats is suitable for conventions, music festivals and fashion shows. Hotel Imperial is close to tennis courts, a gym and a wellness centre.

Area information

The Opatija Riviera is located in the Gulf of Kvarner, on the Eastern shore of the Istrian Peninsula, where the sea makes its deepest cut into the mainland.
A line of eight tourist towns with a number of hotels, restaurants, villas, parks and little ports from Volosko to Mošćenička Draga, stretches within the distance of 16 miles, on a narrow coastal belt at the foot of the Učka Mountain (4,596.50 ft).
It is only a few hours drive from a number of important Western European centers (Milan, Munch, Vienna, Graz, Budapest), within anyone’s easy reach.

Travel information

AP RIJEKA – Island Krk, Omišalj – bridge Krčki most (a toll payment required) – via Rijeka - pass Kraljevica - take the new Kvarner motorroad above Bakar A7 (Sv.Kuzam) – direction Pula (HR), Ljubljana (SLO) or Trieste (I).

After app. 17 km and 200 m after the OMV petrol station, turn right (direction Pula/Opatija). At the crossroad and traffic lights turn left (direction Opatija) after which follow the road signs toward Opatija. Once in the town center continue by the main road in the direction of the hotel. The hotel is situated in the center on the right side of a one-way street.

AP PULA – via Rijeka – by a semi-motorway A9 and A8 (the Istrian epsilon) which includes the Ucka Tunnel (5 km-a toll payment required). At the crossroad and traffic lights turn right (direction Opatija) after which follow the road signs toward Opatija. Once in the town center continue by the main road in the direction of the hotel. The hotel is situated in the center on the right side of a one-way street.

Driving from the direction of ZAGREB (also BUDAPEST, GRAZ) : Take the motor road A1 (a toll payment required) – direction Rijeka. At Bosiljevo continue with motor road A6 to Rijeka (a toll payment required). At Rijeka continue by the Kvarner motor road A7 - direction Pula (HR), Ljubljana (SLO) or Trieste (I).

Driving from the direction of LJUBLJANA (also VIENNA, GRAZ, SALZBURG, MÜNCHEN):
Take E70 towards RIJEKA – via POSTOJNA (a toll payment required). At Postojna, turn left (direction Croatia – Rijeka). Entry in Croatia (Rupa). Enter the motor road A7 (a toll payment required) – via Rijeka. After app 8 km turn right towards Opatija. At the crossroad and traffic lights turn left (direction Opatija) after which follow the road signs toward Opatija. Once in the town center continue by the main road in the direction of the hotel. The hotel is situated in the center on the right side of a one-way street.

Driving from the direction of TRIESTE (Italy): Take E61 – direction Slovenia/Kozina. Entry into Slovenia (Kozina). Continue by E61. Entry into Croatia (Pasjak). Continue in direction of Rijeka/Opatija. Enter A7 (a toll payment required) – via Rijeka. After app 8 km turn right towards Opatija. At the crossroad and traffic lights turn left (direction Opatija) after which follow the road signs toward Opatija. Once in the town center continue by the main road in the direction of the hotel. The hotel is situated in the center on the right side of a one-way street.

Important information

Payment must be made to the hotel in the local currency. The rates are indicated in EUR at the corresponding exchange rate. Due to possible currency fluctuations between the day of booking and the day of payment, the EUR price given in the booking confirmation may be different to the EUR amount actually charged.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged EUR 8 per night per person for cots.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
